Antonio Tyrell Wilson affectionally known as "Tone-Tone", was born December 18, 1980, at the City #1 Hospital, in St. Louis MO, to Gwendolyn Marie Wilson and James Edward McNeal.
Antonio has a heavenly host of relatives awaiting his arrival at Heaven's gates:
His father, James Edward McNeal; paternal grandparents, Leon and Bessie Hughes; maternal grandfather, Gene A. King; maternal great-grandmother, Lucy Brown; brother, LaMont Sanders; paternal uncles, Lewis McNeal and William McNeal; maternal aunt, Shirley Harper; maternal uncle, Troy Brown, Sr; and cousin, Tasha Verita Paster.
Antonio attended school in the St. Louis School District. He later earned his GED. He furthered his education with the Kaplan University. He was listed on the Dean's List twice, March 2012, and November 2012, with a grade point of average of 3.40-3.75. He earned his Bachelor's Degree, Bachelor of Science and Psychology with a Concentration in Substance Abuse, in June 2015.
Antonio joined Shalom Church, City of Peace under the leadership of the Rev.
Dr. F. James Clark in December 2010. He was baptized on January 26, 2011. Due to his failing health, he was unable to physically attend church regularly, however, he never stop serving spiritually. Antonio often spoke highly of his Pastor and always thanked God for bringing him to Shalom, by the very strong and unfiltered encouragement of his grandma, Dorothy L. King.
Antonio had an outgoing and loving personality. He was also affectionately known as "Tone-Tone the Gentle Giant". His favorite color was blue. He was easy to talk to and much wiser than one would expect. Tone-Tone was very current on all political, community, and sporting news. He could and would stand alone in any conversation, while bringing forth all researched opinions and facts, especially in sports. His all-time favorite R&B rapper, was Tupac Shakur. In his strong and often shared opinion, Tupac Shakur was an all-time lyrically writing musical genius,. His top 2 favorite songs by Tupac were: "Dear momma", which Tone-Tone often dedicated to his mother, and "I Ain't Mad at Ya". In fact, Tone-Tone departed this life on Tupac's birthday, June 16. He was also an organ donor.
Tone-Tone was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and high blood pressure at a very early age. Due to this condition, he was physically unable to do a lot of life's normality's, however, this didn't stop him from learning, absorbing and executing his mind and knowledge. He loved being around his family and family gatherings.
On Sunday, June 16, 2019 Antonio entered eternal rest and peace at Barnes Hospital of St. Louis MO.
He leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories: His devoted and unconditionally loving mother, Gwendolyn Marie Wilson; a loving and nurturing maternal grandmother, Dorothy King; two (2) brothers, James McNeal, Jr. and Paree McNeal; four (4) sisters, Rene', Sylvia, Danielle, Catherine, Charlotte; two (2) uncles, Ralph, and Gregory Wilson; seven (7) aunts, Willy, Bobbie, Bonnie, Robbin, Mary, Karen, and Verita; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Antonio also leaves three very devoted and very special best friends, Larry "L" Spratt, Nikkia Carter, and his pet dog Caesar.
